Top 5 Electric Scooters Launched in 2025: TVS Orbiter To Ola’s Made-in-India Battery Revolution
The electric scooter segment in India has grown rapidly over the last few years, with heavy competition across the market. Brands like TVS, Bajaj, Hero, Ola, and Ather continue to lead the sales. This 2025, the competition further intensified as brands introduced new electric scooters at more affordable and aggressive prices, while offering improved technology and higher battery ranges.
Top 5 Electric Scooters Launched in 2025
1. TVS Orbiter
India's No. 1 Electric scooter manufacturer, TVS Motor Company, launched its most affordable Orbiter EV in August 2025. This scooter delivers a maximum range of 158 km. This scooter is available in six different colour options and is priced at 1.06 lakhs (ex-showroom).

It is equipped with a 3.1 kWh battery pack, a 2.5kW BLDC motor, a Telescopic fork, Dual shock absorbers, Alloy wheels, tubeless tyres, an SBS braking system, a full LED setup, and a Coloured LCD screen with SmartXonnect and navigation facilities.
2. Ola S1 Pro Plus Bharat Cell Scooters
Ola has launched their new Ola S1 Pro Plus electric scooters, with the first made in India 4680 Bharat Cell battery technology. This scooter offers a maximum range of 320km, 13 kW peak power, and can go up to a maximum speed of 130km/h. The price of the Ola S1 Pro+ starts at 1.54 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The Ola S1 Pro Plus is also equipped with features including Dual Channel ABS, Dual disc brakes, TFT screen, Multi-Mode traction control, and Brake by Wire tech with Patented sensors, 5.2/4kwh battery pack, Cruise control, Ola Maps, Geofence, MoveOS5 with accept and reject call feature, Rider profile, Document storage, Advanced Regen, Party mode, Hill Hold and Wifi connectivity.

3. Bajaj Chetak 3001
Bajaj has also launched their most affordable electric scooter, Chetak 3001, at a price of 1.02 lakhs (ex-showroom). This scooter is equipped with a 3.0 kWh battery pack that can deliver a maximum range of 127 km.
The Chetak 3001 also comes with a colour LCD that shows Ride data, a 35L Boot space, Hill hold assist, Reverse Mode with lights, Music control, guide me home lights, Call accept/reject feature, and five different colours.
4. Hero Vida VX2 Go 3.4 kWh
Hero Motocorp's Vida VX2 range is the best-selling scooter for the brand. It also helped them surpass Ola Electric to fourth spot in November 2025 monthly Sales. Hero recently launched the VX2 Go with a bigger 3.4 kWh dual removable battery that offers a maximum range of 142 km and a top speed of 70km/h.
It is equipped with Drum brakes with CBS braking system, Ride Modes (Eco, Ride), IP67 Rating for battery, 12-inch Alloy Wheels, 4.3 LCD, all LED lighting, Navigation, and five different colours. The Hero Vida VX2 Go 3.4 kWh model is priced at 84,800 rupees (ex-showroom).

5. River Indie Gen 3
The Indigenous EV brand from Bengaluru had launched the new River Indie Gen 3 scooter in 2025. This new-gen electric scooter is priced at 1.46 lakhs (ex-showroom). It has a 4kWh battery pack that delivers a maximum range of 163 km and can go up to a top speed of 90 km/h.
It produces a peak power of 6.7 kW (9 bhp) and can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, which is ideal for city traffic. Additionally, it is equipped with features such as a glove box, 21L boot space, Flat floors for better rest, 14-inch alloy wheels, 200mm disc brakes, CBS braking system, Adaptive Regen, Twin LED lights, Front and Reverse parking assist, and a 6-inch display.
