KTM RC 160 Gets Two New Colour Options - Price Unchanged

KTM India has updated the RC 160 with two new colour schemes in the country. The entry-level fully faired KTM RC 160 sportbike is now available in Electronic Orange Matte and Ceramic White Matte, expanding the existing palette to three.

The price of the KTM RC 160 remains unchanged at ₹1.85 lakh (ex-showroom), and the bike continues to be offered in its original launch shade of Black.

KTM RC 160 - New Colour Schemes

Of the two new colour options for the KTM RC 160, the Electronic Orange Matte has already been seen on larger RC models, including the RC 200 and RC 390. This colourway features the bright Orange paint scheme that KTM is known for in a matte finish with graphics in mostly black, with a few bits finished in white.

The Ceramic White Matte colourway is a new addition for the KTM lineup in India and looks rather distinctive. The all-new paint scheme for the RC 160 features a white base with black and orange graphics. The Ceramic White Matte version of the KTM RC 160 also rides on orange-painted alloy wheels, while the other two colourways feature black rims.

KTM RC 160 - No Mechanical Changes

Apart from the cosmetic update of two new colourways, the KTM RC 160 remains mechanically unchanged. The RC 160 continues to be powered by a 164.2cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 18.73 bhp and 15.5 Nm that is paired with a six-speed gearbox.

The KTM RC 160 features a split tubular trellis frame suspended over an upside-down 37mm front fork and a rear monoshock. The RC 160 sports disc brakes on both ends - a 320mm disc with a radially mounted calliper at the front and a 230mm disc at the rear with a floating calliper - aided by dual-channel ABS.

The KTM RC 160 rides on 17-inch lightweight alloy wheels fitted with tubeless tyres, - 110/70-17 (front) and 140/60-17 (rear). The bike features a 13.7-litre fuel tank, clip-on handlebars, an LCD display for the instrumentation and a fully LED lighting setup.

The RC 160 was introduced earlier this year as the smallest fully faired motorcycle in KTM's Indian lineup, targeting buyers stepping up from commuter bikes into the sportbike segment. The RC 160 replaced the RC 125 as the smallest offering in KTM's lineup for India.

The KTM RC 160 competes with models such as the Yamaha R15 in the sub-200cc supersport category, offering track-style ergonomics and KTM's RC design language at a lower price point.
