Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently undertook a state visit to Israel after several years, where he received a grand welcome from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. One unexpected highlight of the visit was a Royal Enfield motorcycle drawing significant attention, with both leaders seen alongside the Goan Classic 350 displayed at a technology exhibition.
During his visit to Jerusalem, PM Modi attended a high-level technology exhibition showcasing Israeli innovations across diverse sectors, including automobiles, agriculture, biotechnology, climate technology, cybersecurity, energy, and quantum computing.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 in Israel
Among them was the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350, representing the strength of India's automotive industry and its growing presence in the Israeli market. Royal Enfield operates in Israel through imports and has built a loyal and steadily expanding customer base there.
Many Israeli riders appreciate the motorcycle for its heritage styling, classic design, and retro appeal. The brand also benefits from a strong distribution network and an active riding community in the country. During the visit, the display of the motorcycle symbolically reflected the friendship and growing cooperation between India and Israel.

The bobber-style motorcycle is powered by Royal Enfield's familiar 349cc J-series single-cylinder engine, producing 20.2 bhp of power and 27 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Key features include a slipper-assist clutch, Type-C USB fast-charging support, a retro analogue instrument console with a digital LCD, full LED lighting, alloy spoke wheels with tubeless tyres, a low-slung seat for enhanced comfort, and ape-style raised handlebars that add to its distinctive look.
In India, the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 is priced at around ₹2.35 lakh (ex-showroom) and competes with models such as the Honda CB350, Jawa Perak, and the Jawa 42 Bobber. Royal Enfield, headquartered in Chennai, has established a strong international network.
It has a wide presence across Europe, the Americas, and several other global markets, proudly carrying India's motorcycling heritage worldwide. Israel, being one of India's friendly partner nations, continues to import Indian-manufactured products, with Royal Enfield motorcycles being among the notable examples.
