Simple Energy Ultra 400km EV Revealed - Gen 2 Scooters Launched At ₹1,39,999
Simple Energy has unveiled its latest electric scooters, including the Simple Ultra with a claimed range of 400 km and a range of Gen 2 models priced from ₹1.4 lakh, marking an expansion of the company's EV portfolio in the competitive two-wheeler market.
The Simple Energy Ultra is positioned as the brand's long-range flagship electric scooter, with the company claiming a 400 km range on a single charge, driven by a larger 6kWh battery pack. The Simple Ultra accelerates from 0-40 kmph in 2.77 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 115 kmph.

Alongside the Ultra, Simple Energy has launched a new set of Gen 2 scooters featuring The Simple One Gen 2 is now offered with two battery options. The 4.5 kWh variant carries an IDC-claimed range of 236 km, while the 5 kWh version extends this to 265 km. Output differs as well, with the 4.5 kWh model producing 6.4 kW and 52 Nm, delivering a 90 kmph top speed and 0-40 kmph in 3.3 seconds.
The 5 kWh version steps up to 8.8 kW and 72 Nm, achieves a 115 kmph top speed in Sonic mode, and completes 0-40 kmph in 2.55 seconds. Both variants feature six riding modes, CBS disc brakes at both ends, and four levels of regenerative braking.

The Simple OneS Gen 2 continues as the more straightforward offering in the updated lineup, while receiving key mechanical revisions. Its IDC-claimed range increases by 9 km to 190 km, kerb weight stands at 118 kg, and it uses a 3.7 kWh battery producing 6.5 kW and 52 Nm, enabling a 90 kmph top speed and 0-40 kmph in 3 seconds.
The Ultra is equipped with a bigger battery system and robust motor output, intended to deliver higher sustained performance over long distances, while maintaining efficient energy use that supports the extended range figures being claimed.
The scooters feature multiple ride modes, advanced connectivity options, digital instrument clusters and smartphone integration, aiming to offer a technology-rich experience alongside practical range and performance characteristics.
