Top 10 Bestselling Two-Wheelers January 2026 — Splendor, Activa, Shine Lead Sales
India's top 10 two-wheelers recorded combined sales of 12,94,601 units in January 2026, registering a 26.36% year-on-year increase (+2,70,029 units) compared to 10,24,572 units sold in January 2025.
Hero MotoCorp had two models in the top 10, Honda had three, TVS Motor Company had four, while Bajaj Auto and Suzuki had one each. Scooters accounted for four of the ten bestselling two-wheelers of Jan 2026 and included an electric scooter, while motorcycles accounted for five entries with the final entry being the TVS XL100 moped.
Hero Splendor
The Hero Splendor remained India's best-selling two-wheeler with 3,24,019 units, recording a 24.90% YoY increase (+64,723 units) over 2,59,296 units sold in January 2025. The commuter motorcycle continued to dominate both rural and urban markets.
Honda Activa
The Honda Activa secured second place with 2,71,924 units, registering a 63.08% YoY growth (+1,05,180 units) compared to 1,66,744 units sold in the same month last year. The Activa continues to be the highest-selling scooter in the country.
Honda Shine
The Honda Shine ranked third with 1,61,224 units, reflecting a 4.20% YoY decline (-7,074 units) from the 1,68,298 units sold in January 2025. The Honda Shine was the only two-wheeler on the list to see a drop in sales last month, but it still remains, Honda's bestselling comuter motorcycle.
TVS Jupiter
TVS Jupiter posted 1,29,744 units last month, marking a 20.30% YoY increase (+21,904 units) over 1,07,840 units sold a year earlier in Jan 2025. The Jupiter lineup continues to be the bestselling to the Activa in India's scooter market.
Bajaj Pulsar
Sales of the Bajaj Pulsar lineup stood at 1,29,600 units, recording a 24.52% YoY rise (+25,535 units) compared to 1,04,065 units sold in January 2025. The range continues to cover multiple engine capacities that range across both commuter and performance segments.
Hero HF Deluxe
The Hero HF Deluxe registered 71,690 units last month, posting a 15.21% YoY growth
(+9,468 units) from the 62,222 units sold in the same period last year. The HF Deluxe continues to be a slightly more premium entry-level commuter motorcycle compared to the Splendor in Hero's lineup.
Suzuki Access
The Suzuki Access 125 accounted for 69,042 units in Jan 2026, reflecting a 26.48% YoY increase (+14,490 units) compared to the 54,552 units sold in January 2025. The Access is the bestselling two-wheeler in Suzuki's lineup for the Indian market and Suzuki recently started sales of the all-electric version of the scooter.
TVS Apache
The TVS Apache series of motorcycles accounted for 51,191 units sold last month, registering a 48.33% YoY growth (+16,675 units) over the 34,516 units sold a year earlier in January 2025. The Apache lineup offers the best alternative to the Bajaj Pulsar to customers looking for a performance-oriented motorcycle.
TVS XL100
TVS XL100 moped posted 48,607 units last month, showing a 16.08% YoY increase (+6,734 units) compared to 41,873 units sold in January 2025. The TVS XL100 remains popular in rural and commercial applications and is the bestselling moped in the country.
TVS iQube
The TVS iQube electric scooter rounded off the top 10 with 37,560 units sold last month, recording a 50.29% YoY rise (+12,546 units) over 25,014 units sold in January 2025. Sales of the iQube lineup have been steadily growing over the past few years and it is now the bestselling electric scooter in the country, catering to customers looking for everything from a family scooter to a sporty e-scooter.
