Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition Launched At ₹17.99 Lakh - Limited To 800 Units Globally

British bikemaker Triumph Motorcycles has launched the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition in India, now listed on the brand's India website at Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition was first revealed in January 2026 under Triumph's '2026 Unleashed' campaign.

Production of the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition is capped at 800 units globally. Each motorcycle comes with a certificate of authenticity, and Triumph India has not confirmed how many units have been allocated to the Indian market.

The Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition revives Triumph's large-capacity twin-cylinder cafe racer format, following the discontinuation of the Thruxton 1200. It gets clip-on handlebars, a colour-matched headlight cowl, and a dual-tone green-and-silver paint scheme true to the cafe racer tradition.

A quilted tan leather seat adds a premium layer to the package and is one of the more distinctive visual elements, setting it apart from the standard Speed Twin 1200 lineup. No other variant in the range gets this treatment.

The Cafe Racer Edition is powered by the 1,200cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that powers the rest of the Speed Twin 1200 range. The twin-cylinder powerplant produces 105hp and 112Nm of torque, with the drive going to the rear wheel through a 6-speed gearbox.

A bi-directional quickshifter comes fitted as standard to the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition, making this one of the few motorcycles in the marque's modern classic family to offer the feature. The electronics suite and rider aids are carried over unchanged from the Speed Twin 1200 RS.

Cycle parts on the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition are borrowed directly from the RS variant. The Cafe Racer Edition gets fully adjustable Ohlins suspension front and rear, Brembo monobloc brake callipers, and Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tyres as standard equipment.

At Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition carries a Rs 1.21 lakh premium over the Speed Twin 1200 RS, priced at Rs 16.78 lakh. The difference accounts for the bespoke paint, quilted leather seat, restricted production run, and certificate of authenticity.
