2014 Ducati Diavel Revealed At Geneva Motor Show
The 2014 Ducati Diavel does not want to be called a cruiser. What it then is a power cruiser. A cruiser that's powered by a superbike engine and has sports bike like characteristics. The veils were taken off the new Diavel at VW's stand at the Geneva Motor Show.
The improvements made to the new Ducati Diavel are few, but they are notable nevertheless. The 2014 Diavel will hit the road in a few weeks time in Western countries and will cost $17,995 or $20,995 depending on the variant in the U.S.
A significant visual update over the previous gen Diavel is the new full LED headlamp.
The 2014 Ducati Diavel is powered by a Testastretta 11° DS engine that rated at 162 HP at 9250 rpm and 130 Nm of torque.
The new Diavel with the "Dual Spark" delivers the same power as the previous gen, at at a lower RPM. Mid-range power delivery has also been improved. The torque generated is also slightly more. And the bike now weighs 5 kg less at 205 kg.
The Ducati power cruiser now has a redesigned dual exhaust system as well.
If you noticed, the Diavel is seen in three distinct colours in these images. These are: Dark Stealth (black trellis frame and black wheels); Diavel Carbon (Ducati Red over matte carbon colour, with a red frame); Diavel Carbon (Star White over matte carbon colour scheme, with a white frame). Diavel Carbon models get black forged aluminum wheels by Marchesini.
